Canada Water boardwalk opens to the public

Great to see the Canada Water boardwalk now open - a striking new piece of public realm designed by Asif Khan as part of the wider transformation of Canada Dock.

The 150-metre-long structure winds along the edge of the water, creating a slow, immersive route through rewilded wetlands and newly planted habitats. Designed to reflect the site’s timber-trading history, the boardwalk combines bold architectural form with careful integration into its ecological setting.

Xylotek worked on the project as specialist timber contractor, supporting the design and delivery of the boardwalk’s prefabricated timber elements alongside the wider team.

Congratulations to everyone involved in realising this thoughtful and ambitious piece of infrastructure.
